Fundraising in 2017

  • The Meals on Wheels Basket Auction was held at the Senior Center in July 2017. SRB promoted and supported the auction and worked closely with the Senior Center staff the day of the event.

  • SRB hosted the Broomfield Days Golf Tournament at the Broadlands Golf Course in September. Thanks to the generosity of business sponsors and over 115 golfers, SRB will be able to fund more medical and dental needs for Seniors in 2018.

  • SRB worked closely with the hosts of the Rockin’ Classic Car Show at Broomfield Days in September. SRB volunteers parked cars and staffed the registration area. Proceeds helped support low income seniors in need of services provided by Senior Resources of Broomfield.

  • An Evening in Paris, our Autumn Gala, was held on October 21 at the Denver Marriott Westminster. The evening was a huge success, thanks to the generosity of local businesses and community residents. Two trips to Paris and the Loire Valley were donated by Wee Travel and were the highlight of the auction. The monies raised allow SRB to fund Nutritional and Special Needs programs for Seniors.

  • The Grant Committee secured almost $18,000 from granting agencies to help support the programs funded by SRB

  • An anonymous donor made a gift of $30,000 to thank SRB for its services to the Broomfield community. We are extremely grateful to this person not only for the donation but also for recognizing our commitment to our community. You may be sure that the funds will be used well.

2017 was a busy and rewarding year for the all-volunteer Board of Directors.
