Meals-On-Wheels "Meals on Wheels delivers more than just nutritious food to its many clients across the country. Its representatives are often the only social contact for isolated seniors" (Mike Cuthbert , Prime Time Radio) The above quote is from an article written by Mike Cuthbert of Prime Time Radio. The Meals-On-Wheels program does more than deliver healthy meals to home bound seniors in our community. Want to find out more about the Meals-On-Wheels program? AARP Radio had an interesting program which covers all aspects of the program across the U.S. . Click here to access the radio program and learn about its importance. The program is 23 minutes in length but it is well worth your time to listen. The program describes the people who perform this valuable service, the typical client who uses the service, and the companies who support this valuable service, and addresses the importance of inter-generational interaction between the young and the elderly. After listening to this program did it encourage you to want to make a difference in people's lives? Do you want to give back to the community? Then become involved. You can support this program financially by making a donation to Senior Resources of Broomfield Inc. or by volunteering as a driver for the Meals-On-Wheels program. For more information on how you can help, contact the Broomfield Community Center at 303-464-5526. |

Web Sites of General Interest to Consumers Two web sites which are focused on improving the consumer experience are BizBuzzColorado.com and Yelp.com/Denver. Both of these sites offers consumers the opportunity to obtain recommendations and review businesses in the Denver area prior to purchasing services. According to the BizBuzz Colorado web site - "We can help you find the most trusted businesses and professionals in your neighborhood. BizBuzzColorado takes the guesswork out of choosing a local business because you can read reviews and ratings from other consumers. You can also post your own reviews of businesses in your community -- good, bad, or average. " According
to the Yelp web site, "Yelp is the fun and easy way to find, review,
and talk about what's great - and not so great - in your area." |
